Emily Ellen Gulati is a teaching artist in New York City with a focus in early childhood music, developing and executing preschool and elementary music programming in the public schools. She works with Midori & Friends and Community Change Inc. She is also the Education Coordinator with Nu Jazz Entertainment and extensively worked with Marshall University producing the Huntington International Jazz Festival and creating programs for students of all ages and abilities. She previously taught private and group classes in piano and voice at Bronx House and the Brooklyn School of Music. Emily graduated from New Jersey City University with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance. She completed her Bachelor of Music at Barry University in Miami, Florida. While in Florida, she sang with the Miami Lyric Opera, Miami Music Festival, Colony Theater, the Band Shell Theater, the Cor Jesu Chapel, and interned with the Miami Jazz Cooperative. For eight years Emily was the Preschool Coordinator for Henrico Virginia County Public Parks and Recreation program working with all the facets of the program.
