Chocolate Chip cookies
Here is Chocolate chip cookies with the change to oil already made.
¼ plus 2 tablespoons oil
½ cup of sugar
½ cup of brown sugar
Add one egg
½ teaspoon of salt
1 ½ teaspoon vanilla
Add 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
Lots of chocolate chips
Drop by tablespoon on greased baking sheet. (If you chill the batter you can make little 1 inch balls and gently flatten them to make nice round cookies.) Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or so. They will puff up then fall, once fallen and crispy around the edge they are done.
Cool one minute and remove from the sheet.
Variations: In place of or in addition to the chips add nuts, coconut, or candies.
Steve’s favorite nut cookies are the above recipe with copious amounts of chopped pecans, chopped walnuts, sliced almonds and chopped macadamia nuts added.
