Blueberry pie -makes a great blackberry pie too
Blueberry pie (makes a great blackberry pie too):
Crust for 2 pies (half for one, or one pie with a top crust if you aren’t using the crumble topping):
Oil crust
2 cups flour
1 ½ teaspoons sugar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
½ cup veggie oil
¼ cup milk
Combine ingredients in bowl and then add handfuls of whole wheat flour (you can use other flour if you like) until it makes a crumbly texture. Pat into 2 pie plates.
For this recipe you can bake the crust at 375 for 10 to ensure crust isn’t soggy
For 2 pies (half for one)
6 cups blueberries
½ cup of flour
¾ cup of brown sugar
2 generous teaspoons of cinnamon
Combine in bowl and divide between pies.
Topping for 2 pies:
¾ cup of brown sugar
1 ½ cups flour and 2/3 cups of butter or margarine
Combine until it makes a crumbly texture. Gently cover top of pie with mixture
Bake pies at 350 for 40 minutes or until bubbly.
